Adopt a Jindo (Korean) (medium coat)

Nathan, formerly known as 'A1555114’ from the OC shelter is a love! This sweet boy came to us in terrible shape - emaciated, and with a terrible skin condition. In a short amount of time, he has blossomed and now weighs 46 lbs (but could gain more), and has had his hair grow in.

He was a stray from the OC area and is approximately 10-12 years old. He is most likely a Jindo. His skin issue was pretty bad, but with frequent baths and some medications, we seem to have things in control and he is feeling much better. He is potty trained, loves to eat, enjoys walks and is good with children. We anticipate he will have to remain on a grain free and poultry free diet, and may need occasional medication to keep his allergies in check. He is super quiet in the car and takes treats nicely, and loves his walks. He is active for a senior, but also enjoys to nap.

He rides well in the car and is friendly once he warms up to people. Nathan appears to be good with dogs, and is good with children.

The Jindo, similar to the Shiba-Inu is a primitive breed, and a living national monument in their native Korea. They are not very affectionate dogs, but are extremely loyal to their family/owner. **All Saving Shibas Inc dogs must be adopted by families willing to have their pets be a part of their family and must be allowed inside—especially at night. No dog is allowed to be put on a “tie-out” or chain outside and should be walked on a leash when not in a fenced yard.
**All Saving Shibas Inc dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations prior to adoption.
